Looking for recommendations for bringing the factory gloss back to non clear coated paint. Don’t want to buff removing paint thickness to do this. Recommendations?

I should add I’ve clayed it, CLRd it and used a Griots compound wax.

You pretty much are stuck with buffing it I think. That said, you can go with a polishing compound rather than a rubbing compound for a lot finer cut and hopefully get the gloss you are looking for. I have leaned hard with pretty aggressive compound on my old (white) 80 and my old 100 and it was great.

you have no other option than to bust out the buffer

What products have you used?

Start with a super-fine product (3000 or 2000 grit) and work down as needed. Obviously, you want to remove as little paint as possible. Not all products list the grit size, but it's much more useful than terms like 'super-fine'.

This is on a 96 stock white paint. Need to buff it, used just Griots complete compound and I believe I even used their pads. Followed up with their wax
Not the best pic but brought it back to probably close to new condition
