The ones I just installed from Candlepower look like the ones from amazon in that thread, albeit more expensive. And 20% brighter looks about what I'm getting. Not a drastic visual improvement, but better. The packaging was different, though. Just a white cardboard box for each bulb.
 
I was just concerned because the description says standard halogen bulb. I just want to make sure they are different from regular halogen like silverstar or something

I ordered the standard 9012, the same that you have listed there. I had to trim one of the tabs on the lights using a small file and fingernail clippers. And they fit right in. I then adjusted them so they are fairly even. I couldn't really tell you how they compare to other halogen bulbs as I haven't run anything else . But I can say they are better than the sylvania bulbs that were in my cruiser.
As far as the 9011 I couldn't tell you either as I didn't change them. I'm happy with the high beams that are already installed.

"IF" you're talking about "avatar", then click on "User CP" on upper-left-ish.

Then choose "Edit Avatar" under "Settings & Options" on the left-hand side of the page.

After that you just follow the instructions, more or less.

IF this is not what you're asking, then carry on...
 
I ended up grabbing the HIR's from Candlepower, much better than the previous lights!

Sorry, I should have clarified. They were an older Phillips bulb, not an HIR.
