Anyone have experience with adding a break booster to a diesel...? I've been told I could use and electric break booster to avoid the issues with a vacuum type.

I have a standard / original vacuum servo (Brake booster) on my HJ45 (3.6L H engine).
The vacuum should be produced by a vacuum pump on the back of the alternator, and stored in a reservoir under the floor.
I guess the alternator gets changed out sometimes and the vacuum pump lost.

Mine was missing, so I added a small vacuum reservoir under the hood, along with an electric vacuum pump (very common setup in modern diesel engine cars).

What are you starting with?
