Hey guys, I have read the threads on the dash brake lights but mine only (correctly) is on when I use the emergency brake. I have great vacum now as I re-built the vacuum pump. The brakes work great actually. I even unbolted the booster from the firewall and then the master cyclinder from the booster and seperated them and the lights still stay on. I topped off the fluid in the master cylinder and after that did not work I even unplugged the fluid sensor. I also tried unplugging the vacuum sensor and nothing...

This happened when I was swapping out an 80 series booster that is faulty back to the original (now that I have more vacuum) so I am guessing i could have done something in the process. I have the truck sitting with the battery disconnected currently but I did not disconnect it while swapping the boosters.

Your help is much appreciated.

Check the brake light switch on your brake pedal, there is probably something wrong there.

Tryto push in the contact snd see if the brake lights go out,you should hear the switch make a clicking sound when you release the brake pedal, these switches can go bad.

That was it Joe! Just had to adjust it out a little as the rubber pad it presses into had an indent worn into it.
