Guys,

Did a search and did not come up with any satisfactory answers. I noticed some fluid on the garage floor and after closer inpextion noticed the fluid is coming from both of the Oil Pressure Switches at the bottom of the Master Cylinder. Each one of the little nipples had noticeable fluid drips.

Why would this happen and what do I need to do to stop the leaks?

Thanks!

Josh

Is this a new master cylinder, and we did you get it?

Tighten them up?... :D

Do they currently function?
They may have internal leaks, and need replacing. I ordered them new from CCOT. If you don't want the brake malfunction warning light, you can just plug them off.

No its not a new MC.. And Yes I have tried to tighten them up. It appears the leak is not coming from the threads where the switch screws into the MC.... The switches look like they are actually two pieces of metal which have been pressed together. That is where the fluid is seeping from. I will take a picture when I get home.

I had a jackass pull out in front of me last time I drove it and had to get on the binders harder than I ever have before. Maybe the quick increase in pressure caused the the switch seal to fail a bit.
