Hi all, thanks in advance for any replies. I have read many threads, seen pictures on installing a brake controller for my GX, but I just can't locate that harness. I have a 2009. Is it different on that year GX? I took the little vent off near the steering column, looked left, right, you name it and there is nothing remotely resembling a harness that has an empty plug waiting for the controller. I have the factory installed hitch and the factory harness in the glove box. Going on a trip next week-end so really wanted to get this in today. Appreciate the help.

Cheers,
PH

It's taped to the steering column behind a little metal bracket.

Thanks, but I couldn't find it. Was hoping it was obvious or maybe it was never installed on my vehicle. I spent 2 hours looking for the damn thing. I saw no empty female harnesses.

It isn't obvious. Pretty sure it is white tape? Trying to remember. It is way up in the guts almost on top of the steering column.

Thanks man, I'll try again. I wish they could label the damn thing or something. There is nothing in the owner's manual either even though the "instruction sheet" in the Lexus supplied harness says to check the manual for location.

Directly under the column wrapped in black electrical tape. Remove the tape to free it up.

Thanks buddy, I'm going to get back in there tomorrow. Hope I can find it. Appreciate this forum so much!

Well, I may be crazy, but it ain't there. Maybe the previous owner removed it or it was routed somewhere else that I can't find? Who knows. I'm going to an RV place this afternoon and hopefully they can at least add a new one if needed. Again, thanks for the help.
