I’m in the market for an overlanding SUV and I’m pretty sure I’m going to settle on the 200 series LX. Probably the 2013-2015 because I prefer the styling and the more traditional infotainment system. Im in the process of planning/budgeting mods to make sure I can build it out the way I want quickly.

I don’t plan on doing any serious off-roading but I am interested in adding an aftermarket front bumper/wench as a precaution for longer overlanding trips that may require emergency recovery. Since I don’t need anything super beefy I was very attracted to the BP4WD bumper that is low profile and probably just enough protection for what I’ll need. I haven’t seen any feedback on these bumpers and there’s also not many pictures to see how it looks with various set ups. I can’t even find a side view with the bumper installed.

Has anyone tried this company? Anyone tried the front bumper for the LX specifically? How is the product/company quality?

I’ve never heard of this brand. I would have one concern that is worth confirming:

It looks like this design bolts to the factory tow points and frame horns only. Want you want here is a clevis that goes through the ends of the frame so it takes the stress off the horns.

There have been a couple of guys who ran Viper bumpers and ended up cracking their frames because of this mounting style.

If there is not a clevis nut, I would highly recommend you add one like @turbo8 sells

Awesome feedback. Thanks!

Yeah, I’m not sure if the brand is new but they have a number of products. Just no real world reviews out there.
