box under air cleaner ?????

does anyone know what the round container under the air cleaner is for.
if your not sure what i am talking about i can post a picture shortly.

I am talking about the round container which forms part of the air cleaner. the bottom of it is held on by some clips and there is a little vent into the air box. definantly not the charcoal canister.

Sounds like the bug collector box.It catches solids that enter the air cleaner and traps them there.
Clean it out and smear some sticky oil around the inside.
