She loves it except for the stinkbug it has from the OME Medium duty lift. I have located some factory springs and was wondering if I put those on the rear if it would set level?

Any help would be greatly appreciated............

AHC has been removed.

It depends, if you swap the springs the rear will drop about 2". You want the front to be about 1" lower than the rear, so if the front is 3" lower you'll be good.

Otherwise... adjust the torsion bars to lift the front and level it out.

That really looks pretty level to me. If it does not have a little rake, it'll drive like crap.

Then just crank up the front T-bars to lift the front to match the rear, leaving some droop travel left in the front.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

If it where mine to drive I would have already cranked the front torsions but the wife doesn't want it any higher. I will have to wait until I inherit it until the front gets cranked.

Anyone have some OEM rear springs they would like to donate to a good cause?

I have some I might be persuaded into parting with

Mine are in Fayetteville. 135 k on them. Let me know if you want them.

Pork Soda: I would love them! I will buy you a beer or something.... Call me and we can talk 479-four two six-4411(Jim)

Next question - Is there any chance that it could sit lower in the back with the stock springs? If so, can I get some type of spacer to equal it up?

yes there is a good chance of that just based on your picture. the front height is adjustable, read through this thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/491948-those-torsion-bar-questions.html

If you drop the rear, you'll want to lower the front to get that 1" of rake. Before you do anything, take those measurements.

And yes, Slee and some others make 30mm coil spacers.

personally, I think the truck looks perfect. You want the front to be lower, if it is level it will wander on the highway and have torque steer problems.

I have a set from my 2000 in the garage that I was going to recycle along with that hunk of steel that is bolted to the frame that does nothing. If you want em let me know but if I were you I would sneak out in the middle of the night and give the T-bars three good cranks and she if the wife notices....you can always uncrank em.

Looks damn level to me. I wouldn't mess with it

Agreed!

Congrats on the new cruiser! I have seen that one around town a few times.. Give a shout if you ever need a hand turning a wrench.

I wasn't able to get the measurements on the cruiser last night due to the :princess: having plans for me. I will get them at lunch and post.

Eric,

I left a buisness card on your cruiser at Gold's Gym. I work accross the street. Give me a shout sometime.

I would suggest OME comfort shocks not the sport version and 860 coils in the back.

Then crank the torsion bars to almost 21.5 inches from center hub to top wheel well opening.

It will ride super plush for daily driving and you can wheel it when you want.

If it is going to be your wife's rig, skip a rear bumper. I would suggest Slee step sliders, very family friendly mod, and a after market front bumper. Wa La, you have a weekend wheeler that your wife will love driving.

Congrats on the purchase. Hope you get it all sorted out. I think it looks just fine how it is....
