i have been watching the auctions for a few years now and have seen various land cruiser firetrucks come though but never a 75 series. with only 8500 km and a 5 spd i figured it would be a nice rig to own... lost of options open up for me with this rig, i can leave it stock. i can install a factory box. i can even change the gasser for a diesel.
here in Canada only the mines got the 75 / 79 series rigs. a lot of us Canadians have be dreaming of someday owning such a rig legal. In Japan the 75 sereis was built for export only, a few stayed behind to do goverment work. the idea of finding a "new" 75 never occured to me till i saw this one. i have located a factory original box with only 10,000 km on it and the original red paint is as shiny as the day it came off the assembly line. an extremely rare find, even more rare than the truck itself. put the 2 together and i have a 1991 FJ75 just like the day it was new. (the truck itself needs a new coat of paint which will be appied by a high end body shop here in Calgary).
this is a ultra rare find, purchased by Luxury as an example of the quality units we can find. This unit is not for sale at this time.
enjoy these are from last nights auction. (more pics will be aded to the Luxury site when made available)

a fireman i am not... i believ eit is just a pumper truck... i originally bought it to remove the firebox and install a factory box onto it
but
i ended up recieving emails from NZ, Oz, Britian, US telling what a score i made finding this unit so now i feel guilty should i modify it... it will probably end up going to show and shines an dputzing around Calgary with the dogs in it...

Crazy how they left all the shippin plastics on the seats and the one door... very cool find ... if you can afford to keep it and not change it do it thats VERY nice

Hi All:

Very cool, Wayne!

It kinda cracks me up how these TLC firetruck conversions seem so "quiant" by North American standards - our fire trucks are these big 3 - 4 ton diesel trucks, not 1 ton Land Cruisers!

Enjoy!

Alan
