Do we have a part number for the CV axle assembly from Toyota please? Do they came with the boots ready to go?
TIA

You want some other parts as well. Diff oil seals, c clip kits, maybe drive flanges, etc. I’m a crappy mechanic so when I do something like this I just replace about every I take out so I don’t have to do it again for a long time. Yes the axles are installed with boots ready to go.

The mcmaster low profile smooth edge clamps do work. I’ve posted the part number and size in here somewhere.

I will say I had both my CV axles replaced a couple months ago.
My 2002 LX470 only had 73K miles and the Diff Oil Seals were not replaced, so far no leaks.
But if I had known better I would have had those seals replaced too.
Instead of OEM axles, I went with the Cardone "Severe-Duty" CV axles, the main reason being that both my OEM axles boots were split, thinking that the Cardone's had better boots and much less expensive.
Price wasn't what sold me. Instead this:
"CV Drive Axle part numbers with an “HD” suffix
are severe-duty applications and include a
thermoplastic outboard boot for increased life
and durability versus a traditional neoprene boot "

It’s what’s inside the boot that is going to fail- if you watch a YouTube. Video where they compare the difference between oem and any other the aftermarket- it’s quite a bit difference.

I've personally never seen an outer boot fail, although I'm sure its happened. Inner boots, on the other hand - I've replaced 5 on my two trucks. The LX were likely original, were starting to crack, and I got ahead of it. The 100 gets a lot of offroad use. 1 was part of rebuilding an axle (other axle was new) and two others failed during offroad adventures.
