No kidding, mine crashed yesterday in Riverside, was gonna drive it to work in 29 Palms, looks like I might pass........

I have not been outside all day. I was going to put my new rear calipers on today but deceided to hold off until tomorrow morning.....early.

The :princess: and I are heading out to Palm Desert tomorrow but it is supposed to drop 10 degrees, so should be nice.

I will be staying near water and drinks. :D

Just got back from a trip to my brothers place in Bullhead City- Highest temp was 119 degrees. When we got there Friday, it took three hours to cool the house down to a comfortable 80 degrees . His house is right on the river - so we spent most of the time in the water. Running up the river in the the boat felt like someone was pointing a blow dryer in your face, so we spent most of the time on the jet ski's - you got wetter and stayed cooler.

When I got home yesterday- 104 did not seem that bad.

well, it was 105+ maybe 110 in the Riverside area, did the climb up to Big Bear with A/C on full blast. Did get once to 220 briefly but otherwise the highs were about 215. Not too bad. ATF did get up a few times to 200, though. Man, sure glad I had the a/c working....

even my gray one with the r12 a/c is having issues in 110+ degree heat.. Now I know why all the overseas desert models had an aux electric fan.....I may add an electric fan next to the trans cooler to help the a/c at idle... I also thought about the Mickey Rubicon fan mod .......

I also thought about the Mickey Rubicon fan mod .......

is that the one where he cut off his roof to increase circulation...? :D

No he has a fan mounted on the hood with a hole cut in the hood....ohh and the roof just had a big hole.... that has since been closed up...

It was 115 when we got there and it settled down to a cool 101 today when we left. Not bad at all.

We didn't take the Cruiser, but I drove it everyday untill and including Sun AM with no rise in temp at all. My radiator is original and ready to blow at any minute so my fingers are crossed big time.

Well heck I'll go in for half and we can snatch it up. ;p
