In Bonneville with Rob Tygart (Landcrusher909), as he is going to attempt to break 100 mph in the 45. He passed through tech inspection this afternoon and has his rookie driver meeting on Friday morning before he sets out on the track for 2 passes, 2 passes on Saturday and Sunday as well and So. Cal Cruisers will be along for the ride!!

Dat,

He has a cab mounted gps/navigation unit. The SCTA is doing the timing and he will get pass receipts after each run for official results.

That is so awesome! Will you please post videos of the runs. I love the salt flat even more now that a 45 is blasting across it.

Trying to figure out how to get video on here.

Update on Rob’s quest for 100 mph.
His first 2 runs were only 81 mph. The Holley sniper is running lean at full throttle and he is losing power. The guys from red line land cruisers maybe some tuning adjustments and his third pass was 88 mph but still leaning out at full throttle.

This morning he made another pass and only hit 84 mph, the sniper kit is proving problematic. Tomorrow is a new day and he gets 2 more passes, more timing in the morning and we will see what he can do. Stay tuned race fans!!!

Well, fuel issues continued and prevented him from achieving the speed he was looking for, the final pass was 84.5 mph.

Even though he didn’t achieve the goal, he had a great time trying!!

Yesterday we made it to cruiser fest in Salt Lake City at the heritage museum. Very nice facility and many early cruisers you only see in photographs. Vendors from the US, Japan and Australia were on hand, our TLCA president Heather Rolston had a booth set up with TLCA swag.
