Bonnet (hood) Emblem (1 Viewer)

I used to have a Toyota emblem on my bonnet (hood?) sort of like the Rolls Royce thing, unfortunately as I watched in horror as it first started to wobble :whoops: at speed on a busy road and then it fell off . There was nothing I could do. I have never seen one on an 80 before, has any one seen one of these things, and is it a standard or optional fitting. The problem now is I have now is a small but unsightly manufactured whole were it was mounted. If I can not find a a badge /emblem does any one have any suggestions for a replacement mascot?

Personally I don't really care for the emblem, but you do need something to cover up the hole, I guess.

I do not have any witty ideas or pics I can give you, but the clever ones in the States have probably crawled out of bed by now and will be trying to wake themselves up with a cup of coffee and a good dose of MUD. Me? I need to hit the sack!

They should be able to give you brilliant (stupid) suggestions shortly.

Perhaps I could mount a machine gun there like James Bond? The Hood emble is not the most atractive but it is better than the whole.

Gold Finger, The hood emblem comes equipped only non U.S outside LC80, personally if i had one and the thing fell off i would never put them back again.To cover the holes just go to local body shop have 'em body filler , send paper & spray painted. ~job well done.Besides the emblem is just one of the PIA which later on all the dirts accumulates and start rust on that spot (between the body & the emblem)

I've seen the hood ornament on the occasional Australian 80. But very rarely.

years ago, on the 80scool email list, there was a group buy on these ornaments. I don't recall where they came from, but they seemed pretty popular with the Aussies.
