body ground from negative battery cable?

just upgraded to 1/0 battey cables in the 62. is it necessary to have the body ground on the negative cable? aren't the block and the head grounded to the body anyway? and since your attaching the negative cable to the top of the motor mount isn't it "grounded" thru the body by the other ground points?:hhmm: Just curious.
 
There is nothing wrong with being redundant with this sort of thing.

Or at least that is what I was taught.
 
I reckon i'll go ahead and ground it to the body. That 1/0 cable is so stiff it makes routing a PITA.
 
Use more than one cable. I ran 1/0 down to the bracket on the side of the block and another short piece to the wall.
