Hi guys

Is it a big thing to demount the body of the LC100 of the chassis?
How many hours are to calkulate for this work, what do you think?

Pretty sure that belongs to jonharris. He will probably chime in. The rear section was damaged while towing his camp trailer.

Accident or rust?

Never mind it's in the thread now.

To be fair to his old frame yes, he bent it pulling a camp trailer... off a huge unseen drop at a relatively high speed where all the weight of the trailer came down on the tong first so it wasn't exactly your average run of the mill tow job. More like jumping while towing. I'm sure he'll chime in but he's off having fun right now.

Frame swaps are more common than you might think in the Toyota world, I bet the rust belt dealers can do a Tacoma frame in under 6 hours with all the practice they've had.

Yeah, it's always concerned me the way FSM warns on type of lift to use while raising in shop. Boy... he really bent it good, bad and ugly.

Hy guys

I asked because I was thinking to separate the car to remove rust and preserve the chassis.

But for now, i will clean the whole chassis from the rust and treat rust-konverter on it.
After that I will treat the entire chassis with Dinitrol.

What do you think about this process?

Mike
