Blue Tooth Problems - Why does my LX hate me?

2008 LX570 and a Samsung Galaxy S4 on Verizon. Bluetooth connects just fine all the time, however when somebody calls me it just displays the phone number on my Navigation screen, as soon as I answer it all the contact name and information pops on my screen. Not good for screening calls, which I need to do constantly.

Tried to transfer contact list to LX thinking that would solve the problem. LX just shows "Transferring" and nothing happens, after 20 minutes and numerous attempts I just gave up.

Anybody have an idea of what I am doing wrong?

Does anyone have more than the phone number pop up on the nav screen when someone calls? I have a 2011 model and wish it would say the name of who is calling.

My Bluetooth works very well with my Apple phones - but only the number pops up on the screen when someone calls. Mine is a 08 LX.

Just for reference, the 2016 does show the caller's name for me.

Mine (2011) shows the name and number, perfectly, but only for contacts that are already in my phone. But I did have to agree with downloading the phone book the first time I connected the phone. Google Pixel XL phone.

Thanks, because yours works, I knew I needed to figure it out.

Turns out I had to add a “+1” or the country code to every contact. That makes the name display.
Or turn of international assist on the phone setting, then I didn’t have to add the +1 to the contacts.
