Blue smoke coming out the tail pipe

I have got blue smoke coming out the tail pipe. gets worse after the engine is warmed up? HOUSTON do I have a problem?

Blue smoke is oil burning. Either from oil leaking down the valve stems or oil slipping past the oil rings on the piston

Its probably the latter and should be compression tested .
Its probaly fuming out the oil filler hole an dipstick hole or it will as it gets worse
Note the oil consumption . If you going to drive it ,lightly on the pedal and keep the revs down.
You may need to clean the plugs every so often.

Its probably worse as the engine warms because it expands and the gaps become larger allowing more oil to slip through
 
Have a competent shop do a leak-down test on the engine after being driven to operating temperature. If it holds compression OK then it's just as Rosco says: oil rings and/or valve stem seals/guides.

You can buy a lot of oil for the price of a rebuild. Start saving - quickly if you're in a smog-test area.
