Hi all, does anyone know where the blockheater gets installed on the GX460? I just figure someone might know off the top of their head and save me some hassle looking for it.

GX - 2nd Gen (2010-2023) - Block Heater - Has anyone had a factory provided block heater installed by their Lexus dealer on a GX 460? We are in a very cold climate and are interested in this option.www.clublexus.com

Where is your cord located can you trace it back to the heat for me?My Canadian GX came with a block heater from the factory, but I’ve heard there was a recall at some point where they just chopped the plug end off and never offered a proper replacement option.
Right now, I just have a random cord crimped off and sitting loose in the engine bay. Has anyone bothered splicing a new plug back on and using it again, or even just ignore the recall?
It’s incredibly frustrating that Lexus didn’t provide a replacement part or at least a proper solution.
What was Lexus concern for the recall?
