My wife's 2008 GX470 AC is cold on the passenger side and seems like outside air on the driver's side vents, I know it's a blend door actuator does anyone know which one would control that and the location of it thanks

The servo and door are behind the glove box on the left toward the center. Right ab9ut in the middle

Small hand thoughts!

I replace the damper blend door actuator it was making a buzzing sound and it looked like it was struggling but I'm still not getting AC out of the driver side and rear air I am only getting AC out of the passenger side vents all servos appear to be working normally there's no AC codes anybody have any ideas I don't get it

There are two air mix servo motors (I think that’s what they’re called) on the drivers side, in addition to the one Dan mentioned on the passenger side.

unfortunately, the passenger side is the only easy one to access. I’m not sure of the specific location for the 2 drivers side ones, but I believe one is down towards the bottom of the console in the footwell. From talking with my mechanic, the dash needs to come off to replace the drivers side ones. Not too sure about the specifics beyond that.

Actually there's two on the passenger side and one on the drivers but this didn't turn out to be my problem just to let you all know about my symptoms were cold AC only out of the passenger side vents not the driver side or rear vent, believe it or not the problem is low freon, the reason I have low Freon is because I have a leak in the evaporator coil under the dash the entire dash is coming out $2,300 oh well it's still the greatest car on the planet I wouldn't drive anything else

FOR LX470 and LANCRUISER 100 series
The air mix servo has plastic gears along with metal. Some may break and you´ll here the buzzing as it tries to engage.
Since they are hard to replace. I found rotating the bad teeth side 180 ° and it still works.

Resurrecting this old thread. Already helpful.

Can anyone describe the buzzing sound? I've got a buzzing sound that goes up in pitch with RPMs not related to stereo (eg still buzzing with stereo off). Sound appears to be coming from passenger vent in LX470.

Have your AC serviced, cold air on passenger side and not driver side is a symptom of low freon. Or if you're comfortable doing it you could add freon yourself. Easy to do just search for instructions.
This is the first thing I'd do and the cheapest.

I'm not aware of any issues with cold air getting where it needs to go. And it doesn't just make noise with AC on. With HVAC off, it still buzzes. It only buzzes when it is hot. Did it at the end of last summer then "fixed" itself. Did it again during early heat wave in Spring. Then went away and came back again as we are now back to summer temperatures.

Grasping at straws a bit, looking for an answer.
