I just don't want to plunge 400 bucks grind some paint off..

Well don't pay $400! That's a rip. Mine were $40 per wheel, and I've seen it at local shops for $50 per wheel.

P.S. I TOTALLY agree, put the funds toward the sliders first, worry about the wheels later. I still can't believe the amount of wheeling you do and no sliders, you have been very lucky / careful.

cheapest in GA I have found is $80/wheel. Plus you have to unmount the tires....it adds up real fast. How much were your rims total?

$1000 shipped to my door for five (5) OEM 16x8 wheels. That included the flat black powder coating. Each wheel has been refinished to like new shape. Mine look brand new, you could never tell they were used.

Super nice guys to work with, would recommend them highly to anyone.

Yeah for you it makes no sense, have the ones you got powder coated. For me I had no 16's to start with, I had 18's.

Although my rims do look pretty good, powdercoating would be nice. I've asked several people if they can tell if its spray or powder and most say powdercoat. I spent 4 days painting them at first. I definitely did my research and worked pretty hard on them

some pics of when they were fresh

pman is dead on. Here is a link to the store where I ordered the Gorilla lugs. I placed the order today and an hour later I got an e-mail saying my order had shipped and a UPS Ground tracking number. So far awesome customer service! I will post back once they arrive and I install them.

Gorilla 14mm x 1.50 Thread Black Lug Nuts Acorn Bulge Seat 3/4" Hex Head

$1.38 per lug for 20+ lugs. $8 UPS Ground shipping.

Looking at old threads and came across this one. I purchased cheesy black caps that I tried to spray paint flat black to match my wheels - the paint didn't really like the plastic but kind of worked.

In looking at the black lugs above, they look kind of shiny - do they work with flat black wheels?

So, it's moot point, cause those lugs don't work. I will take some pics later, but the short story is the design of the OEM lug has a cone at the end, then a shoulder, and finally a flat washer surface. The gorilla plus just have the cone surface. While they will physically install, I'm not really comfortable supporting all the weight on just the cone surface when it's pretty clear Toyota designed the shoulder and washer portion of the lugs for a good reason.

That really sucks, but apparently Gorilla thinks Toyota had good reason as wheel

Digging up an old thread, I'm about to get my wheels mounted and want black lug nuts too, did anyone find some that fit from gorilla? I have the Tundra 18" TRD alloys so I think I need the Mag lugs with the flat washer style end.
