In my eBay search for black front and rear emblems for my ‘16 GX to get ready for the chrome delete, the only appropriate replacement black emblems are $185!
I know I could plasti dip them but it never a seems to last long enough or look as good fresh emblems. I’d rather do it the right way once.
I’m just a little shocked b/c you can get Taco or 4Rnr replacements for far less.

Anyone have a link or idea for a source? I only want the “L’s” as I’m not replacing the GX460.

I had them saved in my watched items for a while (just ended up Plasti-dipping them) and they weren't that pricey. I want to say $130 for the front and $80 for the rear, still not cheap.

I’m going to Raptor coat mine. Just cannot justify that cost!

I plastidipped everything on the rear as a trial to see how it holds up. I like it better than chrome but I’m not really into the whole Stormtrooper look so I’m not sure what I’ll do going forward. Might just have it all vinyl wrapped to match the grille and wheels in an anthracite.

Can't one just pop them off or mask and paint them?

I plastidipped the grill on my tacoma a few years ago. I did 6 really light coats and it held up perfectly for about 2 years. Additionally. I had an old beat up mailbox and got drunk and decided it needed to be black but all I had was plastidip. That was 8 years ago. And it still looks great. Highly recommend plastidipping it. Imma fan.

Plastidipped the rear of my GX470 yesterday. Looks great and cost around $10. You could also use piano black Hyperdip for around $50, which should look as good as an OEM black emblem. I will probably Hyperdip the chrome on my Mazda later this summer, now that I have the dip technique down.
