BJ74 random puffs of black smoke on acceleration

Under normal acceleration my exaust will sometimes puff black smoke over and above the normal amount of smoke. It is always a very short burst, less then a second, and you would never know it was doing it unless you are looking in the rear view. One thing that I should note is that my truck smokes more then your average 13bt. It hasn't always been this bad but it gotten worst gradually over a long period of time. I've run injector cleaner through the system a couple times. Any idea of what's going on?

Initial acceleration? Or during the acceleration?

During acceleration. The more I put my foot down the better the chance it will puff.

Checked air filter and all that? Could be a dribbling injector. Releasing fuel at odd times.

same thing noticed

I noticed the same small puffs occasionally upon accelerating hard, does not jerk, stumble, feels fine, and pulls hard through power-band. I am at 8300 ft elevation though, and just thought the small puffing was due to that? Clean, new, air cleaner.

BJ74 doesn't have the leather option.

Have your injectors professionallied cleaned and that might do the trick. I did that once.
