Soooo.....
I have been doing a little chasing around re suspension.
The prices I have for full kit. Springs, shocks, greasable shackles and pins.

Dobinsons $2200
Ome $2200 including steering damp
Tough dog $1600
Ironman $1450

Are the dobinsons and ome really worth the extra cash?

Now you know why I went 80 series standard coils, good set from the wreckers are $50.00 and a set of King's are only $180, plus 15min a side to put in?

Looking good mate

Got a question. My steering is a little loose. Not too bad but noticeable. I have replaced the tie rod ends and that helped heaps. The steering shaft has a little play in it before it goes into the box. Would a seal kit fix this or do I have to replace something else?

I adjusted it a little but it started to groan so I backed it off again...

You only adjust the screw until the play is removed, in other words you turn the steering wheel a little from side to side until such time that the smallest movement of the steering wheel moves the steering box arm. The adjustment is for play only and not to tighten up the steering box to make your steering feel heavier.

From there you can see how much play is in your steering ball joints (TRE's)

I had adjust a couple times to get right as well, it's all in the learning to understand what the hell am I doing ??
From memory 40mm is acceptable free play within FSM .

Be careful when adjusting the steering box, you really need to go lock to lock to ensure you haven't over adjusted, as the parts losest to straight will be worn more than the rest, if you over adjust you will end up wearing the box quicker, if if feels to firm when near full lock you have adjusted to far.

I think I got it reasonable. I adjusted it a little by little. Seems ok. Still a bit of a wander on the road at high speed but nothing anywhere near dangerous. If I adjust it too much it groans, but still doesn't feel firm at full lock. Is it ok for it to groan?

What tyre size are you running
