So I have a Bj73. Just thought I'd start a new thread and post some pics of what I'm doing. I have taken out the old 3b motor wich was blown and just today went and picked up the 14BT motor that's going to drop in. It took awhile to arrive from Japan to BMI at slacks creek but I have it now so all good. I will be getting it in over the coming weeks and will post if I run into problems but after researching as much as I can I've been able to organise myself pretty good but if anyone has any tips let me know. So a couple of things
- Ne engine came with 8 bolt fly wheel so just need to grind down a few ribs in the gear box and will fit perfect. So no need to modify the 6 bolt 3b one
- Came with 24volt alternator so will replace with the one from 3b
- Stripped all the air con mounts and compressor off the 3b it will bolt up to 14 no probs by the looks
- Need to run return line from fuel pump back to tank
- Will use 3b starter motor as 14 didn't come with it
- Need to use the 3b sump or modify the 14 as the 14 has "wings"
