Told to put this here as well.

Does anybody by chance know anything about this truck or near it? I'm debating on putting in an offer, but being in Florida is a bit of a trek to check it out. 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ70 SUV - British Columbia Cars For Sale - Kijiji British Columbia Canada.

Also, if anyone is interested I talked to the seller of this truck. 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser and seven other - Peterborough Cars For Sale - Kijiji Peterborough Canada. The frame has a hole in it from rust and the one front fender is pretty rotted out. It's too much work for me to try and fix but thought I would pass it on. He sent me pictures of the rust if anyone wants to see. Allegedly the interior is mint and the engine is strong....allegedly.

Cheers.

s***, sorry, didn't transfer the hotlink when I copied and pasted. First is the one I'm trying to get a hold of in BC. The second one is the guy who I talked to in Peterborough. I can send you the photos that he sent me of the rust in the frame and fender if you want.

edit* I have family in Peterborough who could check it out, but like I said, it's too much work for a newbie like me.

Thanks, there is a huge whole in the frame from the rust and it would need to have almost the entire front fender cut out. I wouldn't even know where to begin nor do I really want to.

more and more i get emails and calls from the States, guys wanting LHD 70s.
in all seriousness, NEVER get in a hurry, NEVER buy with the heart or eyes, FOLLOW your gut feelings.

i have seen over and over again, over the last 3 decades people investing in money pit Cruisers and regretting it. they trust the seller, they trust the IDEA that it is a Land Cruiser. not everyone in the Cruiser brotherhood is trustworthy. not everyone on Mud is trustworthy.

the buyer MUST take off the Rose colored glasses and see the vehicle for what it REALLY is.

i recommend that BEFORE you drop the money, you get an independent to look the vehicle over. preferably someone that actually KNOWS what to look for. just because someone owns a Cruiser does not mean they know s*** about a Cruiser.

take you time and you will find what you are looking for.

IF NOT........ you end up buying a LJ78 ...... becoming am alcoholic......you are ashamed to make eye contact with other Land Cruiser owners.......and spend a fortune on therapy.......:D

excellent point, sounds like you might have been ostracized by fellow Cruiserheads in the past??

I was ostracized by one Cruiserhead in particular. :D
The therapist and I talk about this on a weekly basis.

Wayne's never going to let you forget about that LJ purchase of yours.

It's kinda like that bad dream we all have from time to time where no matter how fast you run someone is right behind you. Well on second thought I doubt Wayne can run that fast. :D
Owning a LJ78 is like taking your first cousin to the high school prom ..... unless there is photographic evidence you can deny it ever happened.
