In Japan the 44's came with 15" rims. Mine were chrome- special package apparently. 15x6- still available as of earlier this year.

Keep it up Folkert! Looking forward to seeing your progress. And yes- the 2 cylindrical items on the fire wall are vacuum solenoids for shifting in and out of 4wd. I think they were also used on some 60 series trucks as well.

Best!

Hi Folkert,

Just looked at your site and saw the wheel locks, these where standard items in the Dutch Toy 4x4's. We also found them on the export trucks (RHD) that came through the workshop.

Great site! I just blew a perfectly good evening checking it out. Keep up the good work:cheers:

Folkert- your progress has me fired up to get to work on my rig! Keep it up! Love the color too! I'm leaning towards some type of machine color for mine as many of the work trucks here were painted. Names like "spring green" sound so nice- but actually it is the same color as the drill press in my shop- ha.

I may not be able to take mine all apart because it is my daily but I'm working on way.....
