Hello everyone! This is my first post. I began a few months ago the restoration of my bj45 that i bought 2 years ago. I haven't done a lot yet because of limited time. I hope you find it interesting.

With a big help from my little assistants i removed all the parts.

And then i began to clean the oil.

Then i welded the holes on the side and the body.

And finally today i painted under the body with primer.

Hey mate very interested bye your resto. Keen to keep watching I have a 1979 Daihatsu F50 which is a little smaller than your and looks slightly different but most of the running gear and electrical is the same. Keep up the good work

The restoration continues with the base coat...

The underbody paint with polyourethane two component black paint...

And underbody asphalt antichip protection coat...

Preparation of the tank with new rubber lines and strap protectors.

Place the tank under the body.

After i finished with the under body work, i placed the cab on bricks and continued with putty work. I want to paint the car yellow but not the mustard yellow of Toyota so i painted the front of the cab with yellow ral 1021 to see if its okay, but it's not what i was thinking. I will try ral 1003 to see. There is much difference between ral sample cards and reality.

While i'm waiting every day the patty to get dry so i can sand it and re-patty it, i rebuild the heater fan box. The 40 Channel helped me a lot with this.
