I will be doing the Birfield Repack this weekend. I ordered the standard Birfield repack kit from CDan. I went through all the parts tonight and compared them to the diagrams in the factory service manual to make sure I know what the parts are where they are suppossed to go.
Well, there is one part I can't figure out. It looks like a wedding ring. It is small and silver - probably the smallest part in the kit. It is not a "C" clip, it is a complete circle and is looks like it made of two circles pressed toether. It is only about an inch in diameter. Does this piece sound familiar? Does anyone know where this part goes? I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
