Man, I love ordering online - particularly when it keeps taxes out of the hands of incompetent Kalif legislators. Amazon lost a lot of business from me when they caved and started charging.

Fair enough - If there were M&Ps left 'round here, I suppose I would support them, too.

For many years, I have been running a different grease on each side, one Sta-plex red lithium EP, and Amsoil NLGI #2 (not sure if +Moly, doh!). The Sta-plex seems to be better at keeping the hub in good order. I haven't any complaints with it yet. Amsoil just doesn't seem right after being in use for a while. It gets cakey. The key for me over everything has been slathering the grease on. When I haven't, bad things happen eventually.

It's probably time to go through the front again and make everything consistent. My rear axle frightens me the most.. it carries a lot of weight and I haven't touched it. Shhhh

This post ought to knock any cred I have way down. :D

I like to use SWEPCO moly grease. That stuff is awesome. I have never seen it breakdown.

SWEPCO (South-Western Petroleum Co.) is a great mfg., I'd not have any fear in using any of their products.

I can usually buy the CV2 from the Car-Quest that was local until I moved. Not purely a M&P, but now Vato-Zone either. Now I just make a trip to the west end of town for stuff like that.

Good deal, I'll check with carquest.

I just Bought the CV2...Amazon is definitely the way to go. I feel most comfortable using around 6 14 Ounce tubes / Jars of grease. On red lines website it's 100$ shipped for 6 tubes, where as it's the same price for 8 tubes on Amazon. Good Luck!
