Im about ready to buy shocks and need opinions on which bilstein to get.. the 5150 or 7100? I have no idea what to do about valving as well so if i could get some info on what you all are running and what kinda valving is suggested. Thank you much.

Haven't decided which way to go either. Also looking at the MX-6 line.
Will be keeping track of this one I think!

I have the 5100s on every corner of my SOA and love them. The 5150s just make mounting harder due to the external reservoir. What type of suspension are these going on and what are you going to do with the truck? My guess is that the 7100s are going to be overkill.

I'm running 5125s, and believe they are the perfect cruiser shock (SUA or SOA).

When I did a search on the 7100s, there's a pic of a ford flying through the air...are you going to be jumping your 40 @pismo?

do a search, tons-o-info on 5125 and the 255/70 valving benefits...

flying in the air would be fun but thats not what im going to be doing. I live in Arizona lots of rocks and ill be taking this rig all over to off road. Im not going to compete but it will see its share of rocks and trails. Hunting and camping as well. Im thinking more of the 5150's but i dont know how to pick or know what valving i need.... thats where i need help

also keen to hear peoples opinions on valving..

from what I can see on offer at eshock.com I think I'll be going for the 255/70 valving.. just need to measure up correct lengths..

this is for a sua 4" lift using ford shock towers up front.

not sure if i'll go the 5150's on the rear as well. I have to make my upper mounts a bit higher first.

ya i have a 4 inch lift with a sua but have no idea what valving i need and i dont know how to figure out what valving i need

I run 5150's on all four corners with a SOA. I went with the heavier valving and believe that it was the correct choice for the weight of the vehicle. I have Pontiac 428 up front which is fairly heavy. The only issue is when it is cold outside, the shocks are a little stiff. Otherwise they are great. Good luck!

i have heard that the softer valved bilstein are great offroad but way to soft for on road, so my suggestion would be the 255/70's ... thats what i ran with - using extended ford shock towers

ya I put on the F250 shock towers already I just dont know what the valving I need. It seems a lot of people are running the 255/70... Maybe thats what I should run

and yes 7100s are only nice if you are concerned with shock fade. if you are jsut cruising then i say 7100 are way too much. i have the 5100 or 5125 on the back of my cruiser and honestly i cant tell a difference front to back. my 7100s are valved 275/55 i believe.

I have other suggestion,...

Why don't you try to buy Rancho RS9000?
It is adjustable, with 9 adjustable position.

I think, it's perfect for Toyota Landcruiser 40 series.

Just a suggestion from me..
