I installed a new rear spring and Bilstein 5100 on the driver side rear of my GX.

I have no threads coming out of the top bushing before I even put the metal bushing retainer on top of the bushing. I tried jacking up the axel, but it didn't seem to help. Maybe I didn't jack it up enough?

Anyone run into this and know that I did wrong?

I used the moog FJ cruiser rear springs and MetalTech conversion pucks

I am replacing the previous owners cheapie conversion that used Arnott springs and the old toyota adjustable shocks. Hit the bump stomps all the time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Still have passenger side left to go.

Anything obvious ?

Is the top of the lower bushing touching the shock mount? Doesn’t look like it is. Did you jack up the axel from the middle or the side you are working on?

its not flat on the steel, it feels like there might be part of the OEM shock stuck up in there. This piece maybe? Had a heck of time getting this shock out, had to use a pipe wrench on the shock body.
