If 285/75/16 fit with stock, what's the tire size for a 1.5-2" lift? Too many threads to search... so just asking for simplicity sake now.

285/75 Still work well with a lift, but something like a 295 or 305 would probably fill the wheel well better.
Anyone know if a 305/70/16 would fit stock? Rear coil spacers, cranked torsion bars, and some front wheel spacers? Not doing any rock crawling, only muddin round here.

Only 305 that doesn't fit (known) is the GY Duratracs. 305 KM-2's fit wonderfully on a 100. Best size on a 100 as well.

295 and 305 are fine on the front for full compression. Full lock both rub slightly.
295's rub in the rear only at full compression with stock shocks and Bilstiens.
305's rub like hell with L's in the rear but not with stock/Bilsteins

Sweeeet thanks a ton! Lookin to get the Cruiser a set of Cooper SST's for Christmas, and they jump from a 285 to a 305, so I think I'll go for it! :)

I'm sure somebody is running STT's, but to be safe look at the width on their website and cross check it with a KM-2 width. I don't have much room between the a-arm and knuckle on the KM-2's. If it's any wider than the KM-2 I would plan for spacers or go 285.

They're the same width, works out perfect! And I'm thinkin of gettin some spacers just in case. Stock suspension so I should be alright, but rather be safe than sorry. Thanks man!

Cove, be careful with just crosschecking the widths on the manufacturers website. Technically the 305 Duratracs are the same width as most 305s, but due to the way they are manufactured and the size of the side lugs, they rub on the strike face of the steering knuckle pretty bad. Not sure how the STT's stack up, but the best thing you can do is have the shop mount a tire, and bolt it up tight to the front hub. Get behind the wheel and check for clearance between the widest part of the sidewall and the steering knuckle/UCA. Any contact at ANY part of the tire's rotation is bad juju. If it clears, you're good to go.

Thanks, will do for sure! The guys at the tire shop are pretty good about working with me and helpin me out (I own a store across the street from them, we always help another out), and they said that that'd mount a 285 and a 305 and let me compare them when the time comes

275/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my LX are about as big as I want to fit without mods. They are a true 33. It rubs very slightly only at a certain angle of steering lock when loaded up in N mode, otherwise no rubs.

I noticed the 275 is slightly better in snow than the 285s I ran before. Also the steering is definitely lighter around town I can notice it in parking lots especially, hopefully less stress on front end components. I do notice with the 275s that it is not quite as dead straight on the highway, it's just a hair twitchier. But maybe that is due to the poly steering rack bushings I just installed around the same time.

You can fit a 285/75/17 ST MAXX without mods, which works out to about 34x11.

I would run this size or 255/85/16 in the ST MAXX.
