Hello Mudmates,
After 9 years and 60k miles (i work from my home) it is time to address my brakes. Even though there is 1/2 of the pads left, pulsating has become an issue. I have never been impressed by the braking power of my LX and would guess the pads have been slightly glazed over by the previous owner (retired cardiologist) and not up to par. I am installing new remanned Raybestos calipers, Element 3 pads, rotors from Napa, stainless steel brake lines and replacing the front wheel bearings. Also refilling all 3 diffs with Mobil 1 synthetic (LS) 75-90 gear oil, changing the fuel filter and hopefully servicing the MAF sensor. Fortunately my son is an ASE certified auto tech who works at NAPA so he gets to do a lot of the work.
To anyone who has done these jobs any tips or recommendations are greatly appreciated.
TIA
TLC Dan
