Ive gone down to this the last 3years. Its a cool place and a lot of fun with camping at the park with showere water and a lake.

I think this could be interesting. I've been to the Cove, and would love to go back.

Generally, how large are the groups for the trail rides? Can you go out on the trails without a guide?

Looks like it's geared as a family event, are there a lot of families and kids?

Group size can be like we saw at coal mine classic. If we had enough rigs we may get our own group. I belive you can self guide but there are no maps that I know of

It is a family friendly event. Just don't set your tent up in camp 6. We could all have the same site.

Also there is sort of a hidden fee for camping/land use. It might be $45 per person

You can but that is where the crazy people camp. They wont go to sleep untill 4-5am, will be setting off bombs and maybe shooting guns all while justabout blind drunk

They may make you run with guides. When we did FJ Cruisers mud run there 3 years ago. It was partially hosted by the Big Dogs peaple and they required use to line up with there guides. I have never attended one of there oficial events. May go to this one. 10 min away for me!

The cove is good, it would be good to have a guide, because I feel I missed a lot last time I was down there (unguided).
Not a super family oriented place, but fun if your kiddos are into drunkin', monster camp fires and yes, blowing stuff up.
Do bring your guns, shooting range on the premises!

Chaos is anouther off-road park outside of Winchester. With everyone going to the Big Dogs run Chaos park will be pretty empty.
The last time I was there it didn't have as many marked trails as the cove. But it's also half the price as the cove.
