SOunds like we are getting some interest (rayjon, smittycrusher, clownmidget) and SLOMO you are wecolme as co-pilot in my Rig also. I could use your experience on picking lines.

Thank you kindly for the offer, I just may take you up on it when I know more.

im in for the 7th, 8th or 9th, What do you want to run john bull and then in to the hulcom vally? like 3+ stuff or fire road stuff.... if its a day run i think i can talk Sam (pkp80) in to coming.

If my skids arrive before the 9th I'm up for anything, if not all except john bull.
If there is enough interest in camping the 7th/8th then we can hit all trails.
Post up if you are interested in camping the 7th,8th suggestions on campsite?

Cool.....you have to bring Tilley though.....

as for the 7th and 8th I have all three kids by myself due to Cathy being in New York...so unless I can get my Dad to come down the 7th and 8th are out for me....

I will be in ATL that weekend for a wedding:mad: ..plus without being lifted, I would just hold you guys down anyways....have a blast and take pics....I want to go camping soooo bad.

hey, I am actually flying back on Sun. night.......Maybe I can get a hall pass to spend the day with you guys. I dunno though, it will be tough under current circumstances. If I do go, I would prefer to ride shotgun the whole day and see some of the difficult trails. Man I hope this works out.

rfjtoy - I replied on your other thread but it'd be nicer to start a little earlier if possible. Say up at Fawnskin closer to 0830? I'm still "planning" on going up but will have to exercise the bail out option if work gets nasty...

I really want to check out your FJC on a trail

Make for Sat. or Sun 10/7 or 10/08 and I'm in.

any of those days will work for me

I'm a relative newbie to mud and just stumbled onto this SoCal80s board. Just bdt used LX450 1 month ago, and so far I've managed to mangle the factory running boards by running Miller Jeep trail up near Frasier Park. Still no lift, but climbs excellent with factory lockers despite lack of clearance.

I live in So Bay, so I'd be interested in running some local trails and meeting a few fellow TLC owners. I'd be up for taking the family camping the weekend of Oct 7/8th, but probably not Monday 10/9.

What do I need to do to join the club?

Start eating at Chick-fil-A in the South Bay Galleria twice a day/6 days a week.

j/k...we are not an official club. Just a bunch of 80 owners in SoCal who like to run trails with other 80's. I would love to meet you sometime. I am always at the Chick-fil-A on the So Bay Galleria if you ever want to stop by. I recently ran Millers in my stock height LX WITH SLIDERS. And I was very glad to have them. Welcome.

Welcome - as Smitty said, we're nothing official yet, but keep reading here for runs, get togethers, etc.

And another welcome to the club of folks that have trashed their stock running boards on Millers. I did too! Great excuse to get sliders. Ken Hanna in SLO or Christo Slee amongst others make a great product. See the FAQ on sliders in the 80's section for great info. If you plan on going to Surf n Turf in November at Pismo, that would be a great time to pick up Hanna sliders as he's right in SLO. You'd need to contact him soon as he gets back logged quickly.

I dunno about Chick-Fil-A 6 times a week. Can't I just swallow goldfish instead?

Yep, I am planning on using the "replace the trashed stock running bds" excuse to pick up some sliders. I've checked out both the Hanna and Slee sliders. After I save up some $$, I'll probably end up with the Slee step sliders because it's a good compromise for ease of entry/exit for the wife & kids. Was reading a 80 Tech thread about a guy in TX who was fabbing his own sliders that retract. Looked cool, but unfortunately I don't have that level of fab skills...

Looking forward to future runs.
