Mike,

Looks like fun. I suppose it's like most trails, it's just a matter of the line you choose to take on each obstacle.
I think we need to take Brent on the Rubicon. If he does not want to bring his 80, maybe I can take him as a passenger.

These trails are only really difficult in a bone stocker. I don't have powersteering, a lift, gearing, or more than 100psi per cylinder, that's what makes them challenging for me. But even in a stocker, you always come home. In the similar area is Cleghorn Ridge. I think this trail is actually more challenging than any of the immediate big bear region.

We had a stock Heep Cherokee with us and he'd already picked up some road rash on his rocker panel from the easy stuff we'd done that day.

Passenger some day on the Rubicon would be nice some day.

Only passed along about Dishpan what a local was telling us. Haven't run it.

Well, got back from the trip last night and I have to say the trails weren't as hard as I was expecting. The hardest part was trying to make my 7 month pregnant wife have a good time while she was bouncing around trying to hold her stomach. I failed miserably at that when I asked her to get out and spot me through a boulder field and all she had for shoes were sandals. Needless to say, she got pissed, wanted to go back to the campsite to lay down, and got back at me by warning me about rocks AFTER I hit them. Smack! "Oh honey, look out, there is a rock in front of you." I started to get impatient and rather than picking a correct line, just drove through. In the end, all I ended up doing was crunching a rocker (not that badly) for my first trail damage ever on my 62.

Trails were fun, weather was great, and my wife was happy to make it home.

Your wife must love you very much.
I won't even consider a wheeling trip while she is pregnant.

Regards

Alvaro

Difference between the 37's and 35's. Somebody please photoshop a tan onto my legs.

Just bought the silver star so I can post more pics. Wish I had more action shots but my wife refused to climb in and out of the truck. She deserves an award just for surviving the trip.

Does anybody know of a good program for resizing pictures?? As I shrink them down to fit the required size (using MS Paint), the image quality starts to get pretty bad.

Great PICS!! I really dig that rig. What cb antenna do you have? Is it 4ft or 5 ft?

thanks,
Smit

Thanks Smitty! The antenna is a 4 ft. firestick. It has worked well for me so far, especially after getting beat to hell for several years.

Great shots and nice rig.

BTW your wife rules!

Yeah, I'm lucky she can put up with my hobbies and she does her best to enjoy them as well. If only I could get her interested in spotting, then I would have it made.

Nice rig and some good shots of it in action, your wife is a great sport to join you. Did it help induce labor?

I just downloaded a free resizing program (.exe file). Very simple, you just right click on the image you want to re-size and it gives you several options. You can PM me with an address if you want me to email it to you. HTH

LOL !!

Ya Im trying to figure how to work the spotting thing.
For now I get out and she gets behind the wheel.

Good luck.

Slowag, the bouncing only caused a couple of minor contractions, nothing to irritating for her. I'll send you a PM for that program.

450, I wish my wife would get behind the wheel on a trail. You should consider yourself lucky!
