I assume this is a question?

Common sizes bigger than stock, that won’t rub on a stock vehicle, are 275/70r18 and 285/65r18.

Stock size 285/60r18, and slightly taller and narrower 275/65r18 both fit easily as well.

I just added 275/70/18 KO2s to my 2" lifted HE and the fronts tires rub at front and rear of the wheel well at full lock. Just barely and nothing a heat gun and some patience won't fix (not wanting to cut and/or remove mud flaps). I do have 1" Borla spacers though so that may be changing the geometry a bit as the wheel pivots in the wheel well. Anyway, I suspect this size would fit non-lifted too, but may require minimal massaging. MPH indicated is off 1.5mph (vehicle traveling faster than speedo per gps). With stock tire I was about the same amount under the dash displayed speed.

The rubbing is likely due to your wheel spacers. 275/70r18 KO2’s generally don’t rub on a stock truck.

I went stock sized…285/60/18 KO2. Load Range D, which i think makes a difference in ride vs. Load Range E for other sizes! I love everything about this…no loss in performance in terms of perceivable acceleration etc.

The ONLY thing that is bothering me of late is the significant drop in fuel economy as my KO2 ages. I am seeing at least a 1 mpg drop since when i first bought it. I am around 38k miles on it. Ride, highway noise, and off-road ability are fine.

My KO2 MPG has has also been in steady decline. Road noise is also significantly more pronounced since crossing about 45k miles. Ordered a new set as well as new wheels but both are back ordered for 8-10 weeks.

Ah, to get 45k miles on a set of tires… I’m on about 25k kilometers and mine are nearly finished. Have at most 4-5mm of tread left and they are shredded. Pardon my jealosy.

I travel roughly 1000-1500 km’s on extremely rough off-road most months, while towing a caravan. All of that is aired down as well. This year alone I did 11,325kms in the bush. Likely the combo of rough terrain, weight, airing down and speed do them in. I do rotate them and rebalance, but the environment isn’t friendly to tires.

How is the truck holding up otherwise?

Cruiser has done well. I’ve had a few things fail, but none of them were Toyota parts. My left rear BP-51 shock guard lost its retainers, so it flops around and the shock has failed as a result. I’ve had SPC UCA bushings need replacing, drivetrain company tore my cv boot and the replacement didn’t last… So I’ve replaced or am replacing a number of non OEM parts. The only OEM things that are likely to be prematurely replaced are the sway bar links. The bushings are being worked and the fronts are tearing under heavy articulation. That is all a side effect of the 50mm front lift and 2mm rear lift though. Lots of little stone chips along the fender wells. Make me wish for the days of 80 series fender flares. Apart from that stuff, preventative maintenance keeps her running strong in any conditions.

I ran 275 KO2's on ours stock and it was fine short of some extreme flex and stuffing. Once I added the wheel spacers I went ahead and removed the front mud flaps and now it only rubs with a full lock turn when in reverse. I have added the OEM 10mm front coil spacer as well but it hasn't had any impact on the rubbing.
