Thanks for the input about the Pro Comp tires. I actually was able to cancel my order for the Pro Comp's and order the BFG MTR's.

My guess is that the BFG rubber compound is just harder. That's good for long life on the road, but not as good for traction.

I wonder if they still sell the Moab Edition? Haven't seen or heard about them in a while...

I've been running a set of BFG MTs on my FJ60 the last 3 years and I don't care for them....

...My other two trucks run MT/Rs which handle better, stop better and are quieter on the freeway. The MT/Rs don't wear as well, however, which is one place where the BFGs really shine...

...Overall I feel the MT/Rs are a better tire...
Over the last few years just about every owner who has posted about switching from BFG MTs to Goodyear MTRs has echoed Drew's comments.

I wonder if BFG is coming out w/ there new tread design after the rebate ends? I don't know how old that comparison article is but I remember reading something about an updated M/T from them based on the krawler. And did anyone else notice the M/T pictured in "burke's box" in the Mar/April 4WDTO?
