Excellent points made! Every tire is a compromise and so as long as you know where you're willing to make it, you should be fine. Right now, the cost of a set of Terra grapler is about par with the BFG A/Ts so, to me, it's a no brainer to go with the BFGs.

They're not very good in the snow. Very poor self-cleaning capabilities. The snow tends to pack in between the lugs and resists the self-cleaning process. This has been my experience over the past 3 years.

I had a similar experience with 35's on my old Z71. I had owned a pair of Bridgestone dueller MT's before that and a pair of the old style BFG MT's after the 35" BFG AT's wore out.

You can't beat the mileage that you get with the BFG's, but I really like MT's. These cooper's I have been running seem to wear just as good as my BFG AT's did. (Sorry I haven't posted pics yet:bang:)

If you only go wheeling every once and a while, I'd say that the BFG AT would probably be a good choice. Be careful though, because like people have mentioned, they wear like iron and it may be a loooong time before you get to buy a different tire. :D
