Well, I scored a non-working Hypertherm Powermax 350 for $100 off of craigslist last weekend and quickly got it working with the great online help from Hypertherm's website and also from Jim Colt's postings on various forums. I'm glad I held out and found a great deal on a US made machine.

I need to source some more consumables and maybe pick up a Motorguard filter. Anyone have a good recommendation for low cost consumables?

Dave, try Praxaire on Motopolous Dr., That's where I get my consumables when I got my plasma. You might also try Alamo Welding Supply on 7th & Chicon. Good folks both places

Yeah, I'll check out the local guys next time I fill up my C25 mix. Any cheap online places?

Dave,

Nice score on the plasma cutter. Doubtful you'd get support like this from a chinese manufacturer.

I have an Esab plasma cutter, but based on the help available from Jim Colt, my next one will be a Hypertherm.

I've had good luck buying stuff from
weldingsupply.com

I try to order large quantity of stuff to save on shipping costs.

Charles
