I like it. I think it's definitely the one for me. No hassles, just crank it up and you're in a hotel room.... :D

That's pretty much what i'm thinking too. Plus, in my neck of the woods we do a lot of expedition type trips where you are going through some thick forest roads with overhanging branches. The RTT would tear for sure. Another plus for the magiolina is the hard shell case.

We just got back from 5 days in Baja, all of those spent sleeping in the Columbus on the beach. I upgraded the stock foam pad to a slightly thicker, higher durometer foam pad. This made a huge difference and I no longer need my thermo-rests on top.

Was the stock foam not supportive enough for you?

When I laid on my side I could feel my bony shoulder bottom out. It wasn't horrible, just not the best mattress IMHO.

May I ask where you sourced the replacement foam and how much it was? Thanks!

I'm 6'4" and my dad is 6'5". We both slept in my large Maggiolina Grand Tour.

kelebek didn't even bother to change some of the internal names. From "his" web site:

I have a 2007 HZJ79 Landcruiser and I was wondering what rooftop tent would fit best. I have been reading about EEzi-Awn and I am quite impressed. My only question is whether it can just fit in the cab section of the vehicle.

Thanking in advance for your replies.

Roof-Top-Tent (aka cartoptents) is rolling out their Adventure Series tent soon. It's basically a punched out version of the Expedition Series tent measuring 6' x 7'10", which is bigger than the old style they discontinued. I've got pics and dimensions if anybody wants to check it out. :)
