I’m getting closer every day to bitting the bullet and spending the money to refurbish my steering wheel. The wood is chipped right in the spot where I hold it and it’s definitely annoying. I know both Cruiser Parts and Craft Customs are around the same price. Anyone have experience with either one? Any other recommendations? Craft Customs is about 45 minutes from me so there’s a convenience factor there. Just want to find the best place since they’re not cheap.

If I lived in or near DFW I'd take it to Craft Customs.

My friend had the wheel on his 2004 redone by Craft Customs. It looks amazing, basically brand new and the quality of the leather and stitching was top notch. Fairly quick turn around, too.

Ok cool. That's the route I'm leaning towards, especially since I can drop it off and pick it up in person. Thanks!

I did "Dallas Custom Steering Wheels" on ebay. Top notch, pricey but it still looks as good as the day I installed it in 2021.

I also have a Dallas Custom Steering Wheel from Ebay. Very nice, no core needed. Mine has extra padding.

Go with Craft Customs!

Agree, leather work is top notch. However, for those with wood, CC does not touch the wood...

I was on the fence about Craft Customs, but after hearing they couldn't/wouldn't repair/restore the wood, I looked elsewhere.

I just bought one of these...it's gorgeous.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Out with the old:

In with the new:

It's not an OEM match, but it's far better than living with the old one and Toyota won't supply a new one.

Now I just have to figure out why the horn refuses to work...

Slightly better :)
Replaced mine with one from Craft Customs. It cost more to repair mine then to replace with refurbished OEM.

Correction: I bought mine through Dallas Custom Steering Wheel. Craft Customs wanted $700 to repair.

Need to fix mine too! Does the leather feels like oem or it's a bit softer?

It's hard to really compare because my original steering wheel was destroyed. The new one feels like the perfect combination between firm and soft. I would imagine it's what steering wheels in heaven would feel like.

Cost for work/item?

Were you taking bites out of your steering wheel? How does it even get like that? lol new one looks much better.

The one place that could fix mine quoted me $700. Craft Customs had the exact same steering wheel in my interior color for $600, with shipping it was $630. I have mine for sale on eBay.

Correction: I bought mine through Dallas Custom Steering Wheel for $630 OTD. Craft Customs wanted $700 to repair.

I bought it salvage from Copart in that condition. The frame is rust free and it has relatively low miles for a 2000. The interior is pretty rough though. You should see the driver's seat
