Best Paint Shop in AZ

[OverLand Cruisers]

I have a few projects that are going to need paint and a wee bit of body work soon.

All of them are great Landcruisers that I'm hoping to preserve for eternity (as we know it) thus I'm striving for perfection.

One of them (11/78 FJ40 Freeborn Red) has been painted once before and they were kind of heavy on the paint, thus I want to strip it entirely (yay, frame off).

Called Finishing Touch in Fountain Hills yesterday and the owner Matthew said they no longer do full paint jobs. Just for anyone (like me) looking for a quality shop to get a respray done.

Fwiw Mathew is not the owner. Im guessing by your results you did not mention CSC as Mathew is a member.

My mistake, he is the GM. I did mention that I was referred to him by the club and that the vehicle is a land cruiser. He said full paint jobs disrupt their flow and they don't do them anymore.

Yes. He said that he did not have anyone he could recommend as it was tough for shops to do it profitably. The only person he knew was a single-person shop that has since retired. I have started calling around and will update this thread if I can find anyone other than Maaco to do it.

I would try to split that into 2 jobs, or not paint the roof

Cesar over at Matador Rod and Custom does fantastic work. He is also partnered with Brandon from Avid Off-road and they now offer media blast and powder coating as well .

Glen is the owner at The Finishing Touch. Man, kind of hard to believe they would not do a full paint job. They do really nice work.
