Best fj62 Carpet Kit

OK all,

I am getting close to replacing the carpet in my 62 and was wondering if anyone had perspective on the different kits available. The three options I have seen are:

SOR
JTO
CoolCruiser

SOR and JTO are sown, but SOR is twice the price
CoolCrusiers is Molded and costs about as much as JTO

Which is closest to stock?
Which is higher quality?

i can't speak to sor's carpet kits but i just installed their vinyl seat covers and they're freakin' fantastic! email them and ask them to send you a swatch of the carpet, that's what i did before i emptied my walled for the seat covers and they sent the swatch happily.

I agree that SOR's seat skins are excellent. Unfortunately their carpet are only so-so.

I will try and get a sample from SOR and JTO. The SOR kit no longer looks like it is a molded kit and seems real nice, but they want over $900 so it better be. Will post my findings. Open to any other ideas as well

might also be worthwhile to go to an auto upholsterer and see what they would charge to do it.

How bad is your carpet? You'd be surprised how effective some elbow grease and some carpet cleaner can be.

Take a look at my thread, and what I did. My thinking was, if I'm going to have it all out to clean, I might as well treat to whole floor pan to a layer of QuietCrap from CruiserCrap. Get the 100sq feet if you do it, and you should have plenty left over to do the doors and firewall, ...maybe even enough left to put some patches on the hood. (I havent done those parts yet, but would like to)
