I had a total blast this weekend!
I want to thank everyone who stepped up to help make this one
of the best FG's ever!
For everyone who attended this is what it takes to put on the FG.
Back in February or so Dave puts out the word that we need to get moving.
Who wants to help?
The volunteers start to step forward, emails start to flow.
Ideas get tossed around and we narrow things down.
Jason and Randy start to work on logo's and t-shirt designs.
Hey a special event sticker would be cool, so they work on that.
Gary and Jason S. start to look for sponsors for the Raffle.
Sheri and Ernie Becker propose the Kids Day and start working on that.
Sheri looks for a caterer. (they were great! Thanks!)
We need trails, I get in touch with NEA and reserve private land, Dave has already reserved F & F
the previous fall.
Jim Casagrande digs out his class 6 maps and gets things organized there.
New Trails in Swanzey but they need to be cut, the word goes out and YT'ers step
up and cut some kick-butt intermediate trails.
Now we need trail guides,
Thanks Chris for leading Class 6.
Ernie leads 2 days, Nat and Nate pitch in. Kina and Rick help out, Gary and I
hit the intermediate stuff. Chu, Roscoe and Roger help out people at F & F.
It's mid Sept and the emails are going back and forth, what are we forgetting?
Caterer is set.
Port-potties and a dumpster are needed, insurance is set, t-shirts need to be ordered, do we have enough stickers? Dave is getting nothing done at work because he's trying to get all this done.
Jason Shumate has writers cramp from making out checks.
The registration deadline is here, great now we have the final numbers!
Most of the FG crew shows up at F & F early on Thursday.
Signs are up on the roads and the staging lanes are marked.
Registration table is set up, damn we need waivers somebody run to Staples!
Finally things look great!
Time to have fun!
Randy rolls in with the BBQ!
Junior has the grill set up and is heating dinner.
Time for a fire a few beers and some catching up with friends.
Friday we hit the trails, will everyone like them? The smiles tell us yes!
More campfires, stories from the days runs, doesn't get any better for a Cruiserhead!
Saturdays dinner and raffle! Food was great wasn't it?
Our MC's Jason and Gary did a great job handing out the prizes and kept us all
laughing thru the night.

Can we top it all next year? I think so!

Huge thanks to the staff and all the wheelers who came out and made this
the best event I've been to!!

I couldn't have said it better myself Lane, what a great year and more volunteers each successive year have allowed us to offer more trail choices, more raffle prices, and more Cruiser related opportunities for everyone.

SO MANY people in the club make this happen and the effort is worth every minute. What a GREAT weekend. :)

..............and if anyone wondered who that local guy was that nailed down all the loose ends and has been doing tons of legwork so that all those trails south of camp were available to us........................that would be Lane.

Great job everyone! :bounce:

I agree 100%

A huge thanks to everyone involved,
extra helping for Lane, he puts in some time,
Sheri, thanks for all the kid's activities, they had a blast,
all the trail leaders,
Randy for BBQ, stickers
Gary and Jason, for a great raffle,
not to mention the raffle sponsors,
Jim C for time and commitment
Jason hawked a load of tickets
BIG thanks to Gretchen, nice trails!nice CG
I know there is more
dedicated attendees, NH state motto is actually
Live, Freeze, and Die

but especially Dave, not only for hiss time and effort, but also for
:steer::steer::steer::pig::pig::pig:

Definitely one of the best FG's
:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Big thanks to everyone, driving through the border and 4 hours south was worth it.

Hopefully timing will be good again next year so i can go again.

first fall gathering and hopefully not the last. My son and I had a great time and enjoyed helping out with the trail runs. I don't know everyone who was behind the scenes so I'll just say thanks to everyone who made this possible and such a great time. I'm looking forward to helping out again next year where I can.

Glad to help out where I could. I promise next year though that I'll be better prepared for the weather.

This is my second Fall gathering. I had a great time!!. It sure is nice to see a great group of people with such a passion for cruisers. I don't think that Jenny really understands what drives us' I think she is beginning to see the light. She had a great time too. I can't wait for next year!

It was a great time. I can't believe that it went by so quickly. Thanks to everyone who made it possible Dave, Sheri, Lane, Gary, Jim, Randy all the trail leader and eveyone else. Worst thing about the Fall Gathering is that it only come once a year.

Maybe we need to add a spring gathering or a Spring thaw crawl to the venue :D

I had a great time, it's always nice to meet fellow Toyota fanatics who also like to beat on there rigs instead of only talking about them.

Dave, Sheri, Lane, and all the rest, great time and super job! Next year I hope to be there more than one day, but the day I was there, I had a blast! Nice to see more 4Runners on the trails! I hated leaving early, but it was great seeing everyone. We definitely need to do some winter runs on snow and some more beer nights. My thanks to everyone who contributed, and look forward to next year already!!!

could not agree more, no more of this web wheeling crap 362 day a year we need to get out of the garages and into the woods

Double ditto!

Just some food for thought:
Gretchen the owner of FnF has opened up her property year round(well not during the winter, but the rest of the year) to any NEA members, so putting another event together in the spring or summer is not a big deal. It wouldn't be as big as the fall gathering obviously and we would have to make sure no other groups want to use it the weekend we pick, but it is very doable.
I think as a club we should at least do 2 events a year and, I know I will regret this later,but..... I can help put this together.

I agree with you Chris! Maybe something around mid May. Keep it low key, camp Saturday night
at F & F wheel there on the property and have maps for guys who want to go elsewhere.
We also have the Solstice Shakedown around June 20th at Kina's.
Another weekend might be to camp at Shir-Roy campground in Richmond NH and wheel
Carnage and Swanzey. That would be about a 20 min. drive to the trails (plus we have a stock run right there)

more YT runs

F&F sounds good
mid-may?
FeedtheSkeetersatF&F
F&FSkeeterFeeder
sounds like fun, i'll bring my toobuggy....

Scouted some great trails yesterday on my neighbors land, some 2-300 acres logged in last year or so
really fun main loops are intermediate, mud holes with big rox
tons of options for heavy stuff, needs cleanup

we could do a November run up here if people are itchin:steer:
maybe weekend of 8th?
