Seems like Beat Sonic is the way to go for a 2019?
I have the Beat Sonic unit in my 2016 and it’s been a constant struggle. It continually disconnects and won’t reconnect. I’ve tried numerous tech solutions from Eric and team with no resolution. Good luck!

aww damn! I thought Beat Sonic is the least problematic brand.

Humm...do you have the latest version or the older one/? I installed in my 2020 and has been working flawlessly for about 95% of the time. Once in a while it disconnects and I have to re-start the car, but it only happened like 3 times in the past 7 months of constant usage. It also disconnects for some reason near certain traffic lights that have the sensors to control traffic. There is one near my work that always does that, but once you pass it a couple of yards it reconnects again and all good. This last issue is not particular to Beatsonic, it seems to affect CP wireless modules in general, even the OEM ones.

Does using wired solve the problem? My RAV4 only has wired CP, and I generally don't mind wired CP. I need to charge my phone anyways.

Oh, yes. If you are wired no problem. The issue is with the wireless signal that (for some reason) gets interrupted near those lights.

Same issue with the Grom here

It is the newest version.

There is an USB adapter available so the USB port can run to the USB plug on the console by the shifter. Where the auxiliary input is located. I have that adapter, although it would be easier to look through the threads to find the information on it than for me to figure out where I got it from years ago in my personal records.
I installed this USB mount on the drivers side of console after installing the CCSC Android interface.

I've had my beat sonic for 18 months, bluetooth used the OEM Toyota interface then too, so I don't think anything has recently been changed

I don't think OEM bluetooth is any good compared to wired connection (old version of bluetooth). Curious if anyone knows that if the phone is plugged via USB, how is the audio quality?

I have the Grom

It has its quirks and issues, but i used their provided USB plug from the back of the unit, and ran it to the stock USB plug location, and replaced the stock USB plug that accepted a male end on the back.

Sound is perfect, and so is functionality
