Just as a resource for owners of 200 series. What has been your experience? I know we can all look at the ratings on "tire rack" but that does not give LC/LX owner feedback. Really wonder how the new BFG A/T KO2's are comparing?

After week of owning ko2. I would give it thumps up for on road noise reduction. I hope performance stay like this throughout its thread life.

I like the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 on my Tundra. Pretty good highway ride, balanced well, minimal vibration. I run them in 295-70-17 Load Range E.

Nitto TG G2's are only slightly louder than Cooper HT's I had previously. Balance is good wear on outer edges of fronts sucks just as bad as with Cooper's. I have 6.2k on the TG's with rotation at 4k. Traction is good dry and wet. Snow and ice traction is great.

In March 2013 at 82K, I installed 255/75/17 Cooper Discoverer AT3s (the largest size that fits stock spare location on my 2007 4Runner) on 2012 FJ Cruiser wheels. They're somewhat unassuming in appearance for an AT tire -- similar to Firestone Destination A/T, which I ran previously and also liked.

The AT3's have been great both on and off road and never let me down. Quiet and vibration free on road. Traction and handling (for a rig without front sway bar and weighed down with skids, steel bumpers, winch, etc) have been impressive in dry, wet, and snow. I'm set up more for overlanding, but they've seen some rocks and mud too (to others' amazement). Usually air down to 16-18 PSI.

I've got about 30K on them now and going strong. There's adequate tread still but will probably replace soon with a more MT tire since it's no longer my daily driver. Rotated every 5K and haven't experienced any balancing or uneven wear issues.

I just need to determine if I'll stick with factory wheels on my LC. If I do, I plan to replace the Dunlops with AT3s. If I go for a set of Rock Warriors, I might go for something more aggressive in appearance to match the RW's aesthetic. But I give the AT3s two thumbs up!

Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2. I've had 4 sets on LC/4Rs.

Have you looked into the Duratracs? Lot of positive feedback on those.

Toyo Open Country AT IIs are quite nice. I have been running them for a year now with no complaints.

I don't own a set of these but I would if the tire was a wee bit thinner. The Cooper ST MAXX is a very nice tire. My neighbor runs them on his rigged out JK unlimited and the noise and road manors are worth looking into. I know someone on here runs them as well I just can't remember who.

I have had experience with 2 different sets of oem Michelin, one set of OEM bridgestones, all were pretty crappy, Michelin oe's were the worst, horrible tread life, weak winter traction. then again they only start out with 10/32 new, probably can't expect very much out of them.

One of my favorite replacement non oe but oe sized tires is the Bridgestone Alenza and also had the new Alenza plus on the LX. Great tires for ride comfort, tread wear and
Also really quiet, with decent snow, ice performance for a non AT.

My all time favorite is the Yokohama Geolander ATs, great all around performance, best ride, great tread depth. Smoothest riding tire of all that I have owned. I don't have long term experience with them yet. But they were so night and day better then the new Michelin set that came on my other LC's, I had a set put on that cruiser too. They also all 8 balanced with the least weight of any tires I have seen in a long while. Great price point too, i paid $180 each, a total of $205 a tire mounted and balanced. After experiencing that first set, I probably would have paid double that to get that second set, glad I didn't have too.

I have owned quite a few BFG's AT KOs, rugged terrains, etc over the years on other non LC vehicles, mainly pickups. Always liked them, and if I was planning some extreme wheeling with my LCs I would likely have bought a set of the new K2s.
