Elk Grove it is. Talked to Mike there and he said that no modifications were required and they had adequate clearance everywhere. Don't know what "adequate" means however. The only stipulation is that according to him they cannot be mounted on the stock wheels as they are to wide. He said you need to go to an 17 - 8. Other than that they just bolted on after the 3" Revtech lift.

I've got my 295's on my stock wheels, no problem.

any updated/finished photos of the rear bumper? looks killa so far.

I met up with some FJ folks this weekend at Frank Raines; afterwards, I headed up to Bentup to (hopefully) begin the fabrication of a front skid plate.... (yes, we got a good start, but Im not posting ANYTHING till its all done....lol)

When I got there, the Yellow FJ was in the shop getting all the bling installled...so the next 2 hours were spent installing the front and rear bumpers, sliders, winch, control box, front lights, and rear backup lights. All metal was powdercoated, and turned out awesome.

I am seriously jealous....I want it all, and I want it NOW!

Anything to improve the protection of those rear limb-catching taillights?

Have they tested the bumper and how it reacts with the Air bag system??

The reason I ask is this could become an insurance issue. There are some crazy drivers out there!!!

The very informative airbag discussion became quite extensive (and nothing to do with Bentup's excellent bumper).

I simply split it off into it's own thread, where all the posts can be found
https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=95179

Thus allowing the continuing adventures of Bentup's rear bumper buildup
