BellyDoc has done something many wish they could do. Not only did he race the Hammers, but finished it too. The DNF numbers were at about 70% . First race, barely any practice and he made it to the finish line.
Here he is after just coming down from the "Back Door" waterfall. He blazed right through it coming down off a really big step. He was in the top 12 at this point

He was flying when I snapped this one.

If you look closely, above the guys head in the middle, you will see our campsite. This was the view from above the "Backdoor" canyon.

Just showing some flex coming out of the "Backdoor"

This was a spot near the finsh, right by our campsite. We saw the first 6 to 12 racers come through floating over the tops of the bumps on the tracks. One guy was doing between 65 and 85 mph . It sounded awesome

As the light escapes the day, we were still watching competitors fly by.

Very fun weekend to be a part of. There is endless trails and wheeling at the OHV area around the Hammers. About every type of wheeling available
To recap Jon finished 27th out of 30 who finished. 100 rigs started and everyone else was a DNF. Quite impressive for his first time.

I want to go!!

The Hammers are awesome! Congrats to BellyDoc! First time I've seen water in Means Dry Lake, though. Every time I've been it's been good times... Mickey Bombs, scorpions under the tent, playing desert racer at 3AM across the lake bed, teaching the kids to drive in 4-Lo... good times indeed. You know... there's a Toyota jamboree there every spring... :hhmm:
